Pontypool Museum houses a range of local artifacts, including Japanware. It is also home to the Barker Gallery which displays contemporary art. Skiing

Located within Pontypool Park is one of Wales' longest dry ski slopes. A 230m slope serviced by 1 poma tow and 1 rope tow. Who is the service for? The Ski Centre is open to everyone regardless of skiing ability, however complete beginners must have at least 3 lessons before they can attend open practice. Watersports and fishing

Llandegfedd Resovoir is set in beautiful surroundings and offers daily fishing sessions, windsurfing and sailing.

Pontypool Active Living Centre is located nearby and has fabulous leisure facilities including an olympic sized pool with hydro slides, a newly refurbished gym with sauna, steam rooms and spa, badmington, trampolines and bowling green.  It is also home to Pontypool Rugby Team.  Watch them play from the new stand during the rugby season.
